SPY Invites You to a Complaint-Free World Practice

SPY

We invite you to join SPY (Spiritual Practices for Youth) by accepting the “complaint-free world” challenge. Why? Because “our words express our thoughts; our thoughts create our world”. We want to encourage a world of respect and creativity. Through this practice we can become more aware of what and how we speak and be intentional about not complaining and being negative. By turning negative into positive, the energy within us and around us begins to shift making room for a healthier and happier environment where respect and creativity are alive.

IMG_3890Following the service today SPY members will offer bracelets for us to wear during Lent.

Simply put the bracelet on either wrist and every time you complain, switch it to the other wrist. The goal is to go 21 consecutive days without complaining or switching the bracelets. Just by noticing the bracelet on your wrist you may find yourself less inclined to voice a negative thought. It takes practice. It is possible.
