ANNOUNCEMENTS for October 9, 2016
21st Sunday after Pentecost
SPECIAL FOOD OFFERINGS FOR THANKSGIVING: This Sunday we have been invited to bring in both our contributions of non-perishable food items, and also fresh produce as well (carrots, potatoes, squash, etc.). We have used what is offered to create a “harvest table” display for our Thanksgiving service, and will donate all of what is received today to the Food Bank. Food Bank contributions are always welcome, as we help support the immediate needs of our community even as we work to address the underlying justice issues that lead to long-term food insecurity.
Update from the SPC Search Committee: The search committee has let the SPC executive know that they are now in the process of conducting interviews. We thank them for their commitment and hard work, and for keeping our congregations informed.
